Coverage is scheduled so it stays consistent and sustainable. Within these windows, you reach our triage line. Outside these windows, calls are routed to a referral hospital so your horse receives prompt care.

What happens when you call.

- Call (320) 634-3558. The line connects to our designated equine triage service during the scheduled emergency windows above.
- The triage team gathers information. Expect questions about your horse, the situation, and the timing. Have the horse's age, recent history, and current symptoms ready.
- Dr. Paige returns the call. She will discuss the situation, the emergency protocol, and the next steps with you directly.
- Plan and act. Depending on the case, that may mean a farm call, transport to the clinic, supportive care guidance, or coordination with a referral hospital for advanced surgical or hospitalized care.
Outside the scheduled windows.
For emergencies that fall outside the windows above, callers are directed to a referral hospital. This keeps coverage predictable for our team and ensures your horse is never without an option for urgent care.
